A senior pastor has taken a swing at the media when it comes to the reporting of issues that deals with expatriates and BVIslanders.

Rev. Dr. Melvin A. Turnbull, Senior Pastor at the Cane Garden Bay Baptist Church (CGBBC) said he does not know who is fully responsible for the division.

“Well I do not know who is causing the barrier, but I know a lot of times the media feeds on negativity because that is what sells. I do not want to blame the media for being negative, but the fact is most of the times we do not want to cover good news because it does not sell,” Dr. Turnbull stated.

However; Dr. Turnbull said his church and others have been preaching the importance of unity.

“We have been selling this message for a long time. In fact a lot of people rather have something that is juicy, malicious and so forth but it is time that we come together and understand that if we do not come together we are going to destroy ourselves,” Dr. Turnbull explained. Read More HERE
